Krakow, Poland 1922. It is late February, at the end of winter.
A meteor has fallen in the Beskid Mountains to the south, near the border of Czechoslovakia. The Jagiellonian University in Kraków arranges an expedition to study the meteorite. The investigators depart in the shadow of the statue of Nicolaus Copernicus, the unversity’s most famous graduate.
Like Copernicus, soon they will look to the stars. What they find will change them forever…
